Yes, you read the title correctly. It goes without saying that everyone has their favorite video game. Since the pandemic struck the whole world and all were limited to move around the four corners of their own homes. Video games were essential to maintain people’s sanity and keep our brains thinking throughout the long quarantine. The same can be said for Digital Marketing in the form of the numerous ads and campaigns released on social media “in the time of Corona.” Now, consider your favorite video game. When did you discover this and start on it? How many tries did it take for you to significantly improve and progress? What factors did you take into consideration to achieve success? What strategies did you implement to level-up? Who/what was your objective and end goal? See, these questions are also the same questions marketers ask themselves and their teams when it comes to Social Media Marketing.

Every day, we have new content and we do not run out of ideas that help us engage our audience. We always come up with new strategies that keep us on top at all times. One of our members has in fact experienced this first hand. He currently plays a video game called Minecraft.
The goal of Minecraft is to use one’s imagination and creativity to reach our goal, obtaining diamonds. First, he was spawned into an open world full of trees, caves and animals. He had no idea what on earth to do to get diamonds. With the resources on the map he was able to build a house, build simple tools leading to more sophisticated weapons. These enabled him to finally mine the precious diamonds! The same can be said for Social Media Marketing. There are no limits in what one can do to successfully reach their target market, just like finally finding diamonds. Once you finally mine for those diamonds (target market), the feeling is very fulfilling. It is just like winning the lottery! Furthermore this opens a portal of opportunities for a thriving and lucrative business. See, Social Media Marketing is just like playing your favorite video game, you just have to know what the goal is. More importantly, you must know how to do it right. Before you know it, you start leveling up and gaining favorable metrics. Looking at it this way, Social Media Marketing is not as intimidating as it sounds after all, now does it?
This newly gained perspective of ours has really created a positive effect, in terms of our goals to successfully promote The Digital Native through Social Media Marketing. It makes the difficult things seem pretty easy to do and accomplish them efficiently and effectively, which is why we would want to share this with others. If we can do it, so can you! It does not matter if you are new to such a concept or are already a Social Media guru and marketing expert. Regardless of experience, you can still achieve your goals and successfully reach your target market amidst the pandemic.
